NEWS FLASH!!! - LATEST CQC INSPECTION OCTOBER 2011 RATED 'EXCELLENT' CARE SERVICES

Looking For Care Call Us Now On 0800 234 6306

We Believe Our Greatest Achievements Lay With Those We Support Every Day!

We are of course proud of other achievements that include obtaining ISO 9001: 2000 (2008) as verification for our Quality Assurance Systems, being chosen as the only care sector winner of the prestigious BT Essence of the Entrepreneur award (2006) and being chosen as a finalist in three categories for the Great British East Midlands Care Awards (2009). We do however believe one of our greatest achievements has been to sucessfully encourage two service users Mark Allen & Steve Garratt to join the Athena Care board of directors and welcome the contributions they have made to our quality assurance processes so far.

Live In Care Charges Are Normally (Subject to Assessment) Charged From £630 wk

Since our first inspection in 2004 our care services have been rated Excellent" with the Care Quality Commission. We deliver personalised support services that promote independence including supporting people with complex neurological conditions, acquired brain injury and spinal injury, we can also assist with delegated level 3 health care tasks such as PEG feed, catheter care and bowel management and strive to work in complete partnership with our service users and their families at all times.

Passionate About Getting It Right - Service Users & Board Members Mark Allen & Steve Garratt

We believe our focus to positively support the lives of those who use our care services was enhanced when (in 2009) Mark Allen accepted the role of Service Development Advisor. As a wheelchair dependent user of care services for over 35 yrs Mark oversees both existing and new service development for the company and has made a great contribution to improve the monitoring and feedback procedures for Athena Care .

We were also thrilled to announce that Steve Garratt accepted an appointment to join the board of directors (November 2010) in the capacity of Acquired Brain Injury Advisor. Steve has experienced and recovered from a devastating Acquired Brain Injury and has just produced a DVD of his story which we hope to host on our new website in 2011.
