InstantCalmer is a Hull Massage and Aromatherapy practice based at the Core Health Centre. We provide relaxing, therapeutic Aromatherapy massages tailored to YOU, at our tranquil therapy room near Hull City Centre. Aromatherapy is the use of different essential oils to promote well being and health; we combine oils together to create a blend to address your specific requirements.

Massage can help you to relax and gives your body and mind time to recover from the stress of modern life. Massage is also great for helping to relieve the symptoms of chronic pain.

Hot Stone Massage – A deep penetrating massage using hot basalt stones and cool marble. Hot Stone Massage is the perfect antedote to the aches and pains of modern life. The stones are used to apply heat (and cold!) directly to the body through soothing massage. This treatment is ideal for improving circulation, easing muscular aches and pains and stress busting!

Aromatherapy Massage is the use of essential oils and massage to promote wellbeing and relaxation. Essential oils are concentrated aromatic oils extracted from many different plants that have historically been used for their therapeutic properties. Although the use of plant extracts for health, healing and well-being is centuries old the term aromatherapy and our understanding of the concept is relatively modern. Aromatherapy has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity over the last century or so though it is now primarily used as a method of relaxation! We offer a choice of Aromatherapy Treatments at our clinic at the Core Health Centre in Hull.

Warm Bamboo Massage - If you’ve not tried a Warm Bamboo massage then you’re missing out on one of the most effective and relaxing deep tissue massage experiences available. After an aromatherapy blend has been applied, heated bamboo is moved over the skin to manipulate muscles and literally roll away knots, aches and pains. This amazing treatment has the power to relax and re-energise the body and is particularly useful for improving poor circulation. InstantCalmer is proud to bring this innovative therapy to the Hull area.

Hot Lava Shells Massage - InstantCalmer wanted to bring an extra special treatment to the city of Hull. Hot Lava Shells takes the concepts of hot stone massage to the next level, using shells which stay hot for up to two hours to ensure constant heat throughout the treatment. Hot Lava Shells is the ultimate, calming massage. As the shells are applied you will find yourself drifting into a state of total calm and relaxation. During the massage the shells are worked over the palms, arms, neck and shoulders. Deep tissue work on tension areas such as the feet, back and shoulders eases away muscle tension, knots and stress. The treatment is combined with a gentle facial massage to stimulate circulation and boost the skins radiance.

Indian Head Massage – This wonderful treatment has a long history in India, where the technique originated (hence the name!). InstantCalmer have added a twist to traditional Indian Head Massage by using our beautiful blends of pure essential oils. The combination of Aromatherapy and Indian Head Massage make this a treatment capable of holding stress at bay whilst allowing you to drift into a state of deep, peaceful relaxation. Indian Head Massage is sometimes referred to as Champissage.

Ear Candling – Also referred to Thermo-Auricular Therapy is used as part of a relaxing facial massage. Specially designed soft, hollow candles are gently inserted in to the ear and allowed to burn whilst we manipulate pressure points in the face and neck. The treatment ends with an amazing head an neck massage ensuring you leave us refreshed and de-stressed!

Rebecca O’Leary MIFPA has lived in Hull for over 30 years and is a fully qualified Holistic Aromatherapist and a member of IFPA (International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists). Trained at the renowned Mana Tree School of Natural Health in Hull, Beccy uses massage to relax your body and mind. Beccy practices the massage technique devised by the celebrated practitioner Madame Micheline Arcier whose rebalancing method of massage considered one of the most effective massage treatments around!
