Tae Kwon Do simply means hand foot and way of art.It was founded by General Choi in 1955 in Korea. The popularity of this martial art because of its basic and scientific techniques has made this the fastest growing martial art in the world.
Knowle TKD is part of the TAGB association which is recognised by the British Tae Kwon Do Council.
All instructors are fully qualified and have indemnity insurance and CRB checks in place.

My name is Alan Slater. I have been training since 1989 and became a qualified instructor in 1994.

I have won many national titles and have also competed for my country. I am a 5th degree Black Belt with full indemnity insurance and CRB check in place.

We opened Knowle TKD in 2003 and since then the club has grown in numbers to well over a 100 members. They don’t all train together we run three seperate classes on two evenings a week.
