Business Description

Muslim Global Relief (MGR) is a registered UK charity set up in 2000 to help those most in need around the world, irrespective of creed, caste, colour or political affiliation.

Our motto is “United We Stand to Serve” to work together to serve humanity, where help is most needed.

Inspired by the spirit of selflessness, caring for humanity without discrimination our aim has been to reach out to those communities that find it most difficult to receive help and most vulnerable to extremism, neglect and exclusion in a non-political, non sectarian, non religious and non exclusionary manner.

Business Services
MGR provides immediate help in times of disaster whether caused by natural causes or conflict to help alleviate the suffering of the needy and destitute members of society anywhere in the world. MGR also helps rebuild local communities through self sustaining long term projects.

Throughout our short history of operation, Muslim Global Relief has relied only on the help and support of those who believe in helping others. Continuing disasters and conflicts wreak havoc on the lives of so many people. It is the generosity of those who care that allows us to alleviate their suffering. It is your kindness that has turned around so many lives, restoring hope and providing new opportunities.

Education4everyone - Muslim Global Relief ran a vocational centre in a rented property for a number of years and due to it’s huge popularity and interest we decided to build a new centre. The new vocational centre consists of 3 rooms and provides training for girls and boys in various fields including sewing, embroidery, electrical systems and information technology. Computer courses will also be run on a 6 month cycle.

12 girls at a time are taught embroidery lessons on a 6 month cycle - to date 24 girls have finished their course and are now working from home to earn a second or in some cases the main household income.

feedme - Our feed me project currently runs in Pakistan – namely Lahore from 6pm to 8pm daily. Distribution is once a day in the evening lasting for 2 hours. Poor labourer’s men, women and children queue and collect their 2 roti’s.

The project started off distrubuting roti but as time progressed we introduced a curry dish to accompany their roti’s for free. This project helps around 200 people a day and runs all year.

Grow a Fruit Tree - This project involves planting common fruit trees in rural villages. The main advantages this projects provides are:

1. Provides a source of shade for the beneficiaries and a means to provide them with essential vitamins and nourishment on a seasonal basis, when the plants grow and bears fruit.

2. Helps the environment at the same time whilst helping the poor.

3. Provides a potential source of income for the poor on a seasonal basis by selling the fruit.

4. Enables donors and/or their loved ones, (even those who have passed away) to easily participate in Sadaqa Jariah projects.

5. Encourages even children to participate with the small donations required.
