My name is Jacqui Selby (MBACP) and I am an experienced and fully qualified Person-Centred counsellor based in Chorley, Lancashire. I have a warm, friendly, compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy. I can offer you a safe environment in which to speak freely about problems that are affecting you and explore your fears, hopes and dreams.
My experience covers a diverse range of clients including adults, couples, teenagers and elderly adults. I operate an equal opportunities policy and will provide a professional service irrespective of age, gender, race, culture, disability or sexual orientation.
I have worked in a variety of agency settings such as community, health and education in addition to my private practise.
As a qualified counsellor, I am bound by the code of ethics and good practice guidelines and work within the BACP (The British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) ethical framework. The ethical framework for good practice incorporates values, principle and morals.
I offer one-to-one sessions at my home. I also consider home visits and can hold sessions online using Skype for those clients who have a disability. I offer confidential counselling and can usually offer you an appointment within a week of your contact. You would then have the opportunity to see if I am the right counsellor for you. I offer new clients a free 30 minute appointment (with no obligation). Subsequent sessions are 60 minutes long and are at the same time and place each week. I can offer open ended counselling or a specific number of sessions, depending on your needs
