I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist in Egham offering a Counselling and Psychotherapy Service. I can offer you a safe and comfortable space to talk through your problems, be listened to attentively and understood in an empathic, non-judgemental and confidential relationship. In addition, I can help you make sense of your experience and to identify new cognitive and behavioural strategies that can enable you to make changes in your life.

My training involved studying three core psychotherapeutic models including Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy. In addition, I studied childhood, lifespan, cognitive and psychological development, as well as training in mental health problems and diagnosis, all of which are integral to understanding the human condition. I also have an interest in Atttachment Theory, Affect Regulation, the Compassionate Mind, Mindfulness and Existential Therapy, all of which inform the integrative approach that I use in my work. In addition, I continue to engage in further therapeutic training courses and conferences as part of my continued professional development.

I have been practicing for over five years and, presently, I work part-time as a Counselling Psychologist in a Substance Misuse Service within the NHS, with clients suffering from drug and alcohol addictions. I have also worked in various therapeutic environments including a secondary care Adult Mental Health Service within the NHS, a Community Counselling Service, a Community Addictions Service and a Rehabilitation Unit for Brain Injury. I have experience working with an array of client issues and mental health problems including bereavement, depression, anxiety related disorders, suicide, relationship difficulties and personality disorders.

As a Chartered Counselling Psychologist I adhere to the BPS and HPC professional Code of Ethics, I hold professional insurance and have an up-to-date CRB clearance. I also receive regular therapy supervision.

Business Qualifications
I am a qualified Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health Professions Council (HPC). My journey to achieving chartered status began with my undergraduate degree in Counselling and Psychology which I received a First Class Honours. I then went on to study for a further four years to be a Chartered Counselling Psychologist which included my MSc in Counselling Psychology. In both trainings I received a Distinction for my Dissertations.
