Business Description

Wildlife Heritage Foundation – W H F is a UK based charity working hard to ensure that the big cat species of the world are protected from extinction. Based in Kent UK we are an active partner in the European Endangered Species Breeding Programmes (EEP), as well as setting up education programmes for the people that share the habitats of these wonderful cats. The WHF is also raising awareness and funding for big cat projects around the world.

The Big Cat Sanctuary allows the WHF to breed a collection of big cats in conjunction with the European Rare Species Breeding Program. We are aiming to increase the generic diversity of cats with a view to reintroduction to the wild.

Currently we have been very successful with the Amur Leopard and the Sumatran Tiger.

RANGER FOR THE DAY
A guided tour of our site to meet all the cats, including lions, tigers, cheetahs, snow and Amur leopards, an opportunity to help us clean and tend the cats; assist with the cat feeding; and to get some really good photos as mementos of the day.

BIG CAT ENCOUNTER
A guided tour of our site, a chance to discuss the conservation needs of cat species world-wide. The highlight of the experience will be an opportunity to hand feed one of the cats. You will get up and really close to our animals but they will remain safely in their enclosures throughout the experience whilst you are only millimetres away from some of the most efficient killing machines in the world.

PHOTOGRAPHY DAY
WHF Direct Photographic Workshops are aimed at photographers of all levels (beginner to advanced) wishing to learn and take the best pictures of both big and small cats in a relaxed atmosphere.

Learn the techniques that professionals have used for years to get their special shots for book covers and magazines. Coming direct with WHF you get a specially structured tour of the site.

CLIENT ENTERTAINMENT

TEAM BUILD DAYS

Your team can get involved with anything from helping to build or renovate and enclosure* to building all important toys that help with the cats enrichment and make their lives enjoyable.

A team build day at WHF also helps your company engage with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Off-SITE MEETINGS
WHF have conferencing facilities available and can accommodate between 10 and 150 people. Our conference room is overlooked by lions on one side and tigers on the other and has all the facilities you would expect, such as plasma screens for presentations, wifi access, lunch, teas and coffees, and above all a relaxed and unique setting.

ANIMAL ADOPTIONS
Have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to save a big cat species. Income from our adoption scheme is used to pay for looking after our cats, and the money contributes to feeding and housing and those rare visits from the vet.
