Web site design tailored to your needs, whether this is to capture the attention of potential customers or for purely for information purposes. Using the latest structure (HTML 5) and presentation (CSS3) standards your site will be cross browser compatible over a range of computers and handheld devices. Database Integration

If you are looking to sell products online a database is a key component of a web site, they are used to easily store and retrieve products details and securely take payments. These are the most common uses but a wide range of options can be utilised.

All websites require a location for the web pages to stored, much like the file system on your PC or laptop. These locations are known as web hosts, for a small monthly fee you in affect rent a location to securely keep these web pages, so they are retrievable to interested parties at home, work or on a mobile device. Domain Name Registration or Move

The web site domain name is the unique name following the "www." in a web address. This can be customised by you, providing it isn't already being used, and is often offered with a web hosting package. If you already have a domain name, it is a simple process to move this to a new web host which I can also assist with.

A key part of your web site being discovered is to boost it's rating in the search engines. There are many ways to analyse trends and make your site more marketable, I will ensure that you have all the tools to make the site return within the top pages of search engine results.

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel can be used to construct basic and complex databases and I have a wealth of experience using Excel to do so. Xerox, Zena Hair & Beauty and the Care & Repair Company have been using my designs over the past 5 years to capture a range of financial information to staff holiday and sickness charts. Common uses include monitoring staff productivity, stock control and capturing invoice data, all of which I am more than adept in doing. Suitable for small businesses, at home or for the self employed.

Microsoft Access

Microsoft Access can be used to further improve the power of a database by defining relationships between data, reducing the need for duplication of data entry. It also allows the customising of forms and reports to give the user a more pleasant experience when retrieving information they require. These databases are ideal for small businesses or departments within larger organisations.

mySQL

mySQL databases are best used with web sites to combine the functionality of an Access database with web pages. Combined with HTML and PHP, mySQL can produce interactive web sites which would be suitable for selling services or products. This gives you further freedom in regards to styling the appearance and you can also use CSS for this purpose. A must for any online business, but can also be used for personal or small businesses and is usually included within a web hosting package.

Hardware

If you have an older computer with faulty parts, or simply want to boost the capability of you computer I can advise on the hardware that is fit for this purpose. I can also install and configure this hardware for you if you are a novice and would rather not risk opening up the computer yourself.

You can customise any router to improve the network security in your home or workplace, such as limiting the devices to connect to your router or changing the default wireless key. This is relatively simple and I can either show you how, or do this for you depending on your requirements and skills level.

Remote assistance involves letting me take limited control of your computer from my own, regardless of our geographical locations. Non-intrusive, secure and most importantly free software is available to carry out this task when travelling isn't practical or cost effective to resolve issues or provide assistance.

In my time with Xerox I learnt a thing or two about printers and can assist with any basic maintenance issues you may experience with your printers or multifunctional devices. I can also advise on things to look for that indicate the consumable parts are reaching the end of their life.

Software

If you've been unfortunate enough to encounter virus problems and require re-installation of Windows, or perhaps not a fan of Windows 8 and would like to revert to Windows 7, I can assist you do so. I can also upgrade Windows and customise it to suit your needs, setting up user accounts, family safety if you have a young family or perhaps installing any troublesome software.

If you are having trouble getting to grips with software, want to learn a coding language or get more out of your software I would be more than willing to assist you. Depending on hour needs we can agree suitable programs to help you achieve your learning goals, I am trained to an advanced level of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative suite applications and know coding languages such as HTML, CSS, PHP and SQL.

Many companies will try to make you part with money to remove anything interfering with your computer in a malicious way, there is honestly no need. Free software is plentiful and is more than affective. I can help you find these tools, rid your computer of any existing problems and configure the software to regularly check and monitor to ensure you are browsing safely.
