Icon, the Institute of Conservation, is the lead voice for the conservation of cultural heritage in the UK. It is committed to public benefit through promoting understanding of and access to all the diverse elements of cultural heritage. It brings together over three thousand individuals and organizations, its membership embracing the wider conservation community, including professional conservators and all others who share this commitment. It aims to advance knowledge and education in conservation for the long term preservation of cultural heritage by providing guidance, advocacy, information, training and educational opportunities.
