Welcome to a gallery of british landscape paintings . I have been painting the landscape since the late 1980s having trained in fine art at Loughborough College of Art. It is my intention to render in paint a faithful and detailed depiction of nature. By doing this I believe I can capture the outdoor experience and contain it upon a canvas. I am inspired by wild unspoiled places, there is an enlightened state of mind to be found in their unbroken silence and beauty. Painting the landscape becomes a way of evoking this state when it is not possible to experience it directly. In summary, these are the paintings I paint for my own walls.
