NMS Civil Engineering Ltd. Is an established contractor based in North West England and operating primarily in the North West, North Wales, West and South Yorkshire and the Midlands. We traded as Northern Motorway Services Ltd. From our establishment in 1985 until 2000 when changes in work patterns and customer feedback led to the change in name.At NMS we can offer the client an extensive range of civil engineering projects in the road and rail infrastructure environment. Since our establishment we have also added other activities to our range of services complementary to involvement in the Highways sector. NMS Planing Division is the leading roadplaning contractor in the North West and the fourth largest in the UK having the most modern fleet of planers in the country. In addition the Company has developed a considerable reputation for placement of concrete barriers (TVCB) and we are National Highways Sector Scheme 2B approved for the supply and erection of Vehicle Safety Restraints. NMS Civil Engineering Ltd. Is now BS EN ISO 9001:2000 certified by BM Trada and Link-up approved Ref: 20453. We are Constructionline registered Ref: 48837 and CHAS approved. The Company has an excellent health and safety record and is actively working with the Working Well Together Campaign by promoting awareness of health and safety issues. The Organisation is committed to construction and environmental best practice and has developed Environmental Management Systems working towards ISO 14001 Certification.
