Business Description

Hi, we at SKMB Community Interest Company are appealing to you in earnest. Over the last three years since our birth in 2011 we have been in and around our community trying to bring life to the lives of those in our community who face challenges via various reasons by connecting them with the digital age and giving them a chance to connect with the local community and beyond. It is a fact that everyone deserves the chance to be computer literate in our modern computer savvy society. Most people take it for granted but not everyone is able to use a computer and the facilities available are often inaccessible to many.

Business Services
We offer compute training to help empower individuals applying for jobs and provide work experience for the young and unemployed. We also provide computer training for the elderly, disabled and other vulnerable members of our community. Our aim is to provide a service that goes out into the community and to meet individuals where they are and to meet their needs. For example it is not easy for a single parent to access the local library or community centre, so our goal is to solve that problem by going to them.

We do not produce a physical product, we provide a service.

Business Staff & Management
Our company currently has 6 employees. 2 directors who oversee the overall running of the business. 1 Secretary who deals with daily office duties such as email management, payroll, answering the phone etc. 1 office assistant who helps the secretary and 2 Trainers who provide training.

Business Clients
Over the last three years we have had many clients whom we have trained and provided a springboard for future success. These clients range from the young and unemployed, parents who have felt left behind by technology driven society to the disabled. We have also given an apprenticeship placement to a number of young adults via various relevant schemes.
