The Fine Dining Club was established in 2009. Liz Doyle, who started The Fine Dining Club, has over 3 years experience in organising dinner parties for single professionals throughout Belfast. The fine dining club is located in Belfast, Northern Ireland. So far, in their three year history, The Fine Dining Club have nearly 1000 dates, 100’s of couples in ongoing relationships, 2 weddings, an engagement and a baby. It is a fun, sociable, easy way for single professionals, of all ages, to meet new people, try new restaurants, taste new wines and potentially find romance.

The company is managed by Liz Doyle. Running the fine dining club for single professionals was not a business that Liz ever seen herself running or indeed being involved in. Originally from Belfast, she had been living and studying in London for nearly 20 years when lost her job with Lehman Brothers where she had been working on the United States Institutional Sales/Trading Desk. Liz came back to Belfast and arranged a dinner party for some friends and friends of friends at Deane’s in Howard Street, in March 2009. The idea was to get a bunch of single like minded, professionals together, have some fun and ideally meet some new people. It was such a successful night that word soon spread by word of mouth. Liz's phone would ring and strangers would ask if she was the girl who arranged dinner parties. What was meant to be a one off event suddenly became a monthly occurrence. Every dinner has an age group for that evening. Dinners broadly fall in to categories of 30-45, 40-55, 50–65 and 55+. With the gentlemen on the whole being approximately 5 + years older than the women. The numbers are equally matched with the same number of men and women who attend each dinner.
When diners arrive they enjoy a glass of Bubbly. They then sit down to dinner, seated between members of the opposite sex. Each course has a specially chosen wine to compliment the food. After each course the men move seats, so that every woman has sat between 6 to 8 single men during the course of dinner. The price varies depending on the venue, but includes a drink or two on arrival, a three course meal and specially chosen wines with each course. All meals are paid for in advance. The day after every dinner each diner will get a follow up call. Each diner is asked for feedback and to see if there was anyone who they particularly liked at the dinner.
